The Druid Platform
Two design choices define the character of Druid Chain, that it is permissioned rather than open, and that it is net-zero by design. Together they make the platform suitable for the institutions and the mission it serves.
On Druid Chain, every participant is known, vetted, and accountable. This is a deliberate choice, because institutions and regulators cannot rely on a record maintained by anonymous actors. Permissioning brings identity and responsibility to a shared ledger.
A permissioned model keeps the benefits of a shared, tamper-evident record while adding the accountability that open systems lack. Trust comes not only from the technology but from knowing who stands behind every entry.
The platform is built to operate at net zero from the start, run on efficient, renewable-powered infrastructure. A system built to make climate outcomes trustworthy cannot credibly carry a heavy footprint of its own.
Both choices flow from the same purpose. Making nature verifiable for serious capital requires a platform that is accountable, sustainable, and built for institutions rather than speculation.
